Die kleinste Einheit eines QR-Codes — ein einzelnes dunkles oder helles Quadrat. Ein QR-Code der Version 1 besteht aus 21x21 Modulen (441 insgesamt), Version 40 aus 177x177 (31.329 insgesamt). Die physische Größe eines Moduls bestimmt die minimale Druckauflösung, die für zuverlässiges Scannen erforderlich ist.
